THE CAST



Cathy Freemont

Maria de Cesare originated the role of Cathy Freemont in The Children and  has played Cathy in nearly every incarnation of the show since its inception at N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of the Arts, where she received her B.F.A. Previous collaborations with Stan Richardson and Hal Goldberg include Ma Vie En Rosewood, The Night Larry Kramer Did My Laundry, and A Play Without Gravity. Theatre credits include Beloved Dearly (Lincoln Center); The Millennium Lounge (Playwrights' Horizons/ NYU); The Rose Tattoo (Hangar Theater); Crazy Locomotive (Hangar Theater); The Conduct of Life (Hangar Theater). Television credits include The Sopranos (HBO) and Third Watch (NBC). On a different note, Maria has spent the past three years at the University of Southern California Law School, where she received her J.D. in May 2006. She resides in Los Angeles.

Jonathan Rayson Proud member of Actor’s Equity since 1998. Most recently appeared as Cornelius in HELLO, DOLLY! at Paper Mill Playhouse. Dee Dee Shore


Stephanie Thompson was most recently seen in Six Years and Neon Mirage at Actors Theatre of Louisville's Humana Festival.  She is currently performing Neon Mirage in the New York Fringe Festival.  Other Regional and University credits include: Dracula, The Madwoman of Chaillot, and A Christmas Carol at Actors Theatre of Louisville; Cabaret (Sally Bowles), Tartuffe (Elmire), and To Kill a Mockingbird (Scout) at Wright State University where she received her BFA in Acting.  

Clarkie/Hank

 
Jeremy Ellison-Gladstone is pleased to return to the NYMF after playing Paul Allen in last year's sold out run of Nerds. Off-Broadway credits include Gameshow, Out of the Blue, and The Fantasticks (The Boy, Sullivan St. Playhouse final cast). Jeremy has been seen on TV in lots of silly commercials as well as in the Showtime mokumentary Sales Coach. Regional and College credits include: Joseph...Dreamcoat, Waiting for Godot, The Cherry Orchard, and Alice in Wonderland. Jeremy holds a BA in sociology from Oberlin College and has worked as a comedian at the NY Comedy Club. Many thanks to all.

Mick Bonde is overjoyed to be making his NYC theatrical debut with this cast of The Children. He is a recent graduate of The Boston Conservatory where he was seen in such shows as Blood Brothers (Mickey), Twelfth Night (Feste), North American Premiere of John Caird's adaptation of Candide (The Grand Inquisitor), Grapes of Wrath and others. Boston audiences may recall his performance in SpeakEasy Stage's production of BatBoy as Rick/Lorraine. Other shows include Grease, Forever Plaid, Footloose, The Crucible, Beauty and the Beast, and Joseph. Mick was also a featured soloist performing with the Boston Pops in their summer festival. TV: FUSE TV (Luke- the ASSketeer), DittyDoodle Works (Francisco the Frog Catcher). Mick would like to thank God, his supportive family and friends, and his teachers that have enlightened him throughout the years.
